ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE@#To study the working experience of COVID-19 care nurses.@*METHODS@#Twenty two nurses taking care of COVID-19 patients were interviewed by means of descriptive phenomenology. All the data were transcribed and recorded, and then processed into WORD documents. The Colaizzi 7 footwork was used to classify, encode, establish nodes and extract themes based on Nvivo11.0 software.@*RESULTS@#Two main themes were extracted: one is the positive feelings of nurses, including the sense of professional mission and pride, the sense of achievement and happiness, the improvement of self-worth and ability, the powerful support system and the power of role models; the other is the negative experience of nurses, including the worry and anxiety at work, the lack of experience and trust, the difficulty of work, and the inconvenience of isolating life.@*CONCLUSIONS@#s While fully affirming the work value of nurses, it is necessary for the society, hospitals and patients to give extensive and continuous support, care and respect to nurses, so as to stimulate their working enthusiasm and sense of professional achievement. Hospital managers need to implement all kinds of security work, meet the safety needs of nurses, pay attention to the physical and mental health of nurses, strengthen the training of nursing talents for critical and severe diseases and infectious diseases, improve the allocation of human resources, and enhance the ability of material allocation and reserve for major health events, so as to make adequate preparations for coping with public health events in the future.

ABSTRACT

Objective: To observe the pharmaceutical care for type 2 diabetes patients with hypertension.Methods: Totally 160 cases of type 2 diabetes patients with hypertension were divided into the control group (80 cases) and the observation group (80 cases).The observation group was given pharmaceutical care, and the control group was without pharmaceutical care.The indices of FPG, 2hPG, blood pressure, medication compliance and adverse drug reactions were analyzed.Results: After the treatment, FPG and 2hPG in both groups decreased significantly when compared with those before the admission (P0.05).Conclusion: Pharmaceutical care for type 2 diabetes patients with hypertension shows significant curative effect, which can effectively reduce blood sugar, improve blood pressure and increase medication compliance.

ABSTRACT

Objective To evaluate the role of mitochondrial fission in hypoxia-reoxygenation (H/ R) injury to hippocampal neurons of rats.Methods Primarily cultured hippocampal neurons obtained from newborn Wistar rats were randomly divided into 5 groups (n =60 each) using a random number table: normal group (N group), vehicle group (V group), H/R group, H/R + vehicle group (H/R + V group),and mitochondrial division inhibitor group (group M).The cells were cultured in normal culture medium in group N.Dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) was added to the culture medium with the final concentration < 0.1%, and the cells were incubated for 40 min in group V.The cells were subjected to 6 h hypoxia, followed by 20 h reoxygenation in H/R, H/R+V and M groups.DMSO was added to the culture medium with the final concentration <0.1% at 40 min before hypoxia in group H/R+V.In group M, mitochondrial division inhibitor Mdivi-1 50 mmol/L (dissolved in DMSO, DMSO concentration <0.1%) was added to the culture medium at 40 min prior to hypoxia.Mito Tracker staining was used to examine mitochondrial morphology.Western blot was used to measure the expression of mitochondrial dynamin-related protein 1 (Drp1), mitofusin 2 (Mfn2) , peroxisome proliferator activated receptor γ coactivator 1α (PGC-1α), nuclear respiratory factor-1 (NRF-1), and mitochondrial transcription factor A (TFAM).Multifunctional microplate reader and fluorescent microscope were used to detect the mitochondrial reactive oxygen species (ROS) level.The flow cytometer was used to detect the apoptosis in hippocampal neurons.Apoptosis rate was calculated.Results Compared with group N, the expression of Drp1, PGC-1α, NRF-1 and TFAM was significantly up-regulated, the ROS content and apoptosis rate were increased, and the expression of Mfn2 was down-regulated in group H/R (P<0.05).Compared with group H/R, the expression of Drp1 was significantly down-regulated, the ROS content and apoptosis rate were decreased, and the expression of Mfn2, PGC-1α, NRF-1 and TFAM was up-regulated in group M (P<0.05).Conclusion Mitochondrial fission is involved in H/R injury to hippocampal neurons of rats.

ABSTRACT

Objective To evaluate the role of mitochondrial fission in anoxia-reoxygenation injury to rat hippocampal neurons.Methods Neurons were enzymatically isolated from hippocampi of newborn Sprague-Dawley rats (less than 24 h old).The primary hippocampal neurons were cultured and seeded in 25 mm × 25 mm culture flasks at a density of 7 × 105/ml.The cultured neurons were randomly assigned into 3 groups (n =18 each) using a random number table:control group (C group),anoxia-reoxygenation group (I/R group),and mitochondrial fission inhibitor mdivi-1 group (M group).In group I/R,the vehicle dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO,final concentration < 0.1%) was added prior to anoxia and the cells were then incubated for 40 min.In group M,mdivi-1 (dissolved in DMSO,final concentration of DMSO < 0.1%) was added prior to anoxia and the cells were then incubated for 40 min.The hippocampal neurons were subjected to oxygen-glucose deprivation (OGD) for 6 h followed by restoration of O2 supply for 20 h.After 20 h of reoxygenation,the level of reactive oxygen species (ROS) (by ELISA),cell apoptosis (using flow cytometry),and expression of mitochondrial fission protein Drp1,Bcl-2 and Bax (by Western blot) were measured.The apoptosis rate and the ratio of Bcl-2 to Bax were calculated.Results Compared with C group,ROS content and apoptosis rate were significantly increased,the expression of Drp1 and Bax was up-regulated,the expression of Bcl-2 was down-regulated,and the ratio of Bcl-2 to Bax was decreased in I/R group (P < 0.05).Compared with I/R group,ROS content and apoptosis rate were significantly decreased,the expression of Drp1 and Bax was down-regulated,the expression of Bcl-2 was up-regulated,and the ratio of Bcl-2 to Bax was increased in M group (P < 0.05).Conclusion Mitochondrial fission is involved in anoxia-reoxygenation injury to rat hippocampal neurons via mitochondria-mediated apoptotic pathway.

ABSTRACT

Objective To find out the general features ,drug type ,route of administration DID clinical mani-festation,outcome and so on in DID patients .Methods The statements of drug-induced diseases caused by traditional Chinese medicine and its preparation were collected ( the data provided by Adverse Drug Reaction Monitoring Center of Dongying City ) from 2004 to 2012 in Dongying area ,which would be reviewed and analyzed .Results 3 446 drug-induced disease cases of traditional Chinese medicine preparations were screened out .From 3 446 DID reports in which 603 kinds were involved ,599 kinds of traditional Chinese medicine and 4 kinds of Chinese herbal medicine .The rates of the new and serious DID were high .Conclusion The defense system of the drug-induced diseases caused by traditional Chinese medicine need to be established urgently which is used for collecting ,monitoring and analyzing the data of Chinese medicine drugs to the clinicians ,providing the information of rational use and advisory services by ef-fective ways and management measures ,and providing the basis to modify the specification for pharmaceutical manage-ment and administrative departments .As a result,it can minimize the incidence of drug-induced diseases and maintain the safety of the public takeing medicine .

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the preventive effect of clinical nursing pathway of health education on partum urinary retention.Methods Two hundred and forty primiparas hospitalized in our hospital from September 2012 to February 2013 were randomized equally into the observation group and the control group.The former received health education by clinical nursing pathway and the control group conventional health education.The two groups were compared in terms of incidence of postpartum urinary retention.Results The incidences of postpartum urinary retention in the observation group and the control one were 3.33% and 11.67%,respectively.The difference in the incidence between the groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The clinical nursing pathway of health education may effectively prevent the occurrence of postpartum urinary retention.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the measurement of serum calcium by flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS) and to validate the method for use as a candidate reference method. Methods Serum was diluted by 50 fold with 50 mmol/L hydrochloric acid containing 10 mmol/L LaCl3 and analyzed for calcium on an AA 6800 atomic absorption spectrophotometer. Dilution solutions and FAAS conditions were optimized and the performance of the method was evaluated. Results The method showed within-run, between-run and total CVs of 0. 31%~0.38%, 0.16%~0.30% and 0.35%~0.49%, respectively, and analytical recoveries ranging 98.9%~101.1%. No significant interferences were detected. Conclusions A FAAS method for the measurement of serum calcium has been established. The method is simple and accurate and may be used as a candidate reference method for serum calcium.

ABSTRACT

Objective: To investigate six mineral element contents of rice bran and milled rice from three color rice cultivars (white rice, red rice, black rice). Methods: Select 36 typical cultivars and determine Se, Zn, Fe, Ca, Mn, Cu contents in their rice bran and milled rice with AFS-2201 atomic fluorescent spectrometer and AA-680 atomic absorption spectrometer. Results: 1. The six mineral element contents of rice bran were 2.58, 3.35, 10.04, 4.58, 12.79 and 6.59 times as those of milled rice respectively. 2. The Ca content of black milled rice was significantly higher than that of white and red milled rice. The Mn content in rice bran of white rice was significantly higher than those of black and red rice. Other mineral element contents were not significantly different. 3. For rice bran and milled rice of different cultivars, the contents of each mineral element in three color rices varied greatly. Conclusions: 1. The content of six minerals in rice bran was 5.66 times on average as that in milled rice in all cultivars of three color rice. 2. Eight cultivars of the highest content of each mineral in rice bran and milled rice were recommended for commercial use and human consumption.
